Mandela Day was declared a global call to action by the United Nations General Assembly in November 2009. President Mandela himself urged all peoples to devote 67 minutes in service to others.

Join the Celebration
Enjoy: Mandela Day: A 67 Minute Tribute to the Black Lives Matter Movement. Friends of Madiba's Facebook and Instagram platforms will feature artists from around the world, reflecting on the protests, and including offering words and performances in support of the millions of Americans in the Black Lives Matter Movement. Then, add YOUR voice by submitting a video statement about Mandela, the Cause of Freedom, or just words of encouragement to people around the world who are struggling through the Covid-19 pandemic, or as a result of racial or social injustice.

Engage with fans, artists and civil rights activists as they celebrate the life and legacy of Nelson Mandela, and encourage us all in the continuing journey towards freedom and equality for all.
